Article Synopsis
  • The study assesses the reliability of bony landmarks A and B in cephalometric analysis, focusing on how incisor repositioning affects their positions.
  • The methodology involved comparing cephalometric tracings of 30 orthodontically treated patients with no bone growth disorders to monitor changes in the landmarks' positions.
  • Results indicated that orthodontic treatment had a significant effect on point B, which shifted backwards with incisor repositioning, while point A remained unaffected by the treatment.

The investigation of the transport properties of binary fluid mixtures remains a topic of interest in relation to the more challenging studies of ternary mixtures. In fact, the study of the phase boundary limits of the Gibbs composition triangle can be the initial step for a more complete analysis of ternary mixtures. In this paper, we apply the dynamic shadowgraphy optical technique to study non-equilibrium fluctuations induced by the presence of a gradient of temperature and/or concentration in the triethylene glycol (TEG)/water system.

Perhaps the most recognizable sensory map in all of neuroscience is the somatosensory homunculus. Although it seems straightforward, this simple representation belies the complex link between an activation in a somatotopic map and the associated touch location on the body. Any isolated activation is spatially ambiguous without a neural decoder that can read its position within the entire map, but how this is computed by neural networks is unknown.
