Carbon footprint of tourism in Spain: Covid-19 impact and a look forward to recovery.

Tourism is very vulnerable to climate change and the disruption of Covid-19, facing two challenges: fighting climate change pursuing its carbon emissions goals, and recovering from the complex pandemic effects. We contribute to the incomplete understanding of tourism emissions pandemic impact and in different post-covid recovery scenarios. Using official data on tourists' consumption, we calculate the carbon footprint of tourism in Spain in 2019 and 2020 under different recovery pathways, including changes in consumption patterns and emissions efficiency, using a multiregional input-output model.

Is Seasonal Households' Consumption Good for the Nexus Carbon/Water Footprint? The Spanish Fruits and Vegetables Case.

Proximity and in-season consumption criteria have been suggested as solutions for fruits and vegetables consumers to drive the economy to a more sustainable development. Using a new concept, seasonal avoided footprint by imports, we disentangle the role of period and country of origin. Although, as a general rule, consumers could reduce the footprint by choosing domestic produce, this is not always the case.

Metastasis to the tunica vaginalis testis from a primary mucinous tumor of the cecum.

Objectives: We review the literature about secondary testicular tumors.

Methods: We present the case of a patient with a metastatic mucus-secreting testicular tumor who presented in the emergency room with symptoms of acute scrotum 10 months after surgery for a mixed tumor of the cecum. This type of tumor is rare, and the treatment of choice is orchiectomy; nevertheless, the prognosis of such metastasis remains poor.

[Bilateral synchronic testicular tumour of different histology].

Objective: To report one case of bilateral synchronic germ cell testicular tumour of different histology.

Methods/results: 37 year-old patient with left testicular tumor under study was found to have a contralateral synchronic testicular tumor on ultrasound. Bilateral inguinal orchiectomy was performed and pathology reported the presence of bilateral testicular tumours of different histological type.
