Finding potential inhibitors from phytochemicals against nucleoprotein of crimean congo fever virus using in silico approach.

The Crimean Congo virus has been reported to be a part of the spherical RNA-enveloped viruses from the Bunyaviridae family. Crimean Congo fever (CCHF) is a fatal disease with having fatality rate of up to 40%. It is declared endemic by the World Health Organization.

Chromium (Cr) is an ever-present abiotic stress that negatively affects crop cultivation and production worldwide. High rhizospheric Cr concentrations inhibit nutrients uptake and their translocation to aboveground parts, thus can affect the growth and development of crop plants. This experiment was designed to evaluate the effects of sole and combined zinc-lysine and iron-lysine applications on photosynthetic efficacy, antioxidative defense, oxidative stress, and nutrient uptake and translocation under Cr stress.

Performance and Stability of Corundum-type In2O3 Catalyst for Carbon Dioxide Hydrogenation to Methanol.

Carbon dioxide hydrogenation to methanol is a key chemical reaction to store energy in chemical bonds, using carbon dioxide as an energy sink. Indium oxide is amongst the most promising candidates for replacing the copper and zinc oxide catalyst, which is industrially applied for syngas mixtures but less idoneous for educts with carbon dioxide due to instability reasons. The polymorph of indium oxide and the operating conditions remain to be optimized for optimal and stable performance.

Innovative CO-NBs-assisted ultrasonication for the phytochemical extraction of peanut (Arachis hypoga) shells: Synthesis and characterization of CO-nanobubbles.

This study was designed to obtain the maximum extraction yield of peanut shell (PS) polyphenols using a novel carbon dioxide nanobubbles (CO-NBs) assisted ultrasonic extraction method. CO-NBs were generated in distilled water with a self-developed high-pressure nano-jet homogenization method and characterized by size, zeta potential and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The obtained nanobubble's mean size and zeta potential were 229.

Evaluation of Antimicrobial Peptides in Saliva as Potential Therapeutic Agents Against Oral Pathogens in Pakistan.

Background: Maintaining optimal oral health is essential for overall well-being; however, conditions such as dental caries and gingivitis remain prevalent in Pakistan and are further worsened by increasing antibiotic resistance.

Objective: To evaluate the antimicrobial properties of salivary peptides as potential therapeutic agents against common oral pathogens in Pakistan.

Methodology: A one-year cross-sectional study was conducted in Lahore, Pakistan, at Sharif Medical and Dental College and Akhter Saeed Medical and Dental College, involving 384 participants aged 18-65 years.
