Purpose: Little is known about women's experiences of cancer during pregnancy and up to one-year postpartum. As the incidence of gestational cancer rises parallel to increasing rates of early onset cancers there is an imperative need to understand their experiences. The aim of this research is to understand women's experiences of gestational cancer during pregnancy and up to one-year postpartum.

Unveiling injustice: Disrupting child removal policies and upholding breastfeeding: An emancipatory framework.

Before colonization, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities had nurturing, holistic, and communitarian approaches that promoted extended and healthy lives for their children. Colonization, marked by policies of genocide and assimilation, has resulted in an alarming overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children under the care of child protection agencies, resulting in compromised health outcomes and reduced life expectancies. We are conducting a study designed to enhance positive developmental outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children by articulating and enabling the rights of mothers and children to breastfeed in the context of a child protection intervention and child removal.

Publicly available Australian hospital data on infant feeding: A review and comparative analysis of outcomes.

Background: Breastfeeding is the optimal method of providing infant nutrition. The Baby Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI) is a global strategy to promote breastfeeding. This study aimed to explore infant feeding data in Australian hospitals and compare outcomes between BFHI and non-BFHI accredited hospitals, and between public and private hospitals.

Promoting breastfeeding in women with gestational diabetes mellitus in high-income settings: an integrative review.

Background: Breastfeeding provides many short- and long-term health benefits for mothers and their infants and is a particularly relevant strategy for women who experience Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) during pregnancy. However, breastfeeding rates are generally lower amongst this group of women than the general population. This review's objective is to identify the factors that influence breastfeeding by exploring the experiences and outcomes of women in in high-income health care contexts when there is a history of GDM in the corresponding pregnancy.

Characteristics of the clinical pharmacists' interventions at the main general tertiary care hospital in Qatar.

Medication-related problems (MRPs) are prevalent throughout healthcare systems, whereby pharmacy-based interventions are pivotal to reducing occurrence. In the Middle East, including Qatar, the professional roles of pharmacists have been expanding to improve patient safety. This study aimed to characterize and analyze pharmacist-led interventions among hospitalized patients in the leading general hospital in Qatar.
