Calcified Maxillary Fibroma in a Patient on Hemodialysis for Seven Years.

Background: The presentation of mineral bone disorder (MBD) in individuals with chronic kidney disease (CKD) may vary. Consequently, physicians should be capable of recognising this condition when there is a suspicion of its existence. This case report will describe a calcified maxilla tumour as a manifestation of CKD-MBD.

Surface-modified activated carbon for N-nitrosodimethylamine removal in the continuous flow biological activated carbon columns.

The carcinogenic nitrogenous disinfection by-product, N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), is challenging to adsorb due to its high polarity and solubility. Our previous research demonstrated that the adsorptive removal of NDMA can be improved using surface-modified activated carbon (AC800). The current study evaluated the efficacy of AC800 in removing NDMA in a continuous-flow column over 75 days, using both granular activated carbon (GAC) and biologically activated carbon (BAC) columns.

Epidermolysis Bullosa and Rickets in a 21-Year-Old Female: A Case Report.

Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a group of rare genetic diseases that exhibit mechanical fragility of the skin. This condition will result in the occurrence of skin blisters, skin erosions, and skin ulcerations when the skin is subjected to trauma. In this case report, we present a case of EB and multiple skeletal deformities in a 21-year-old female.
