Background: Prevention of pitching-related elbow pain in youth baseball players is important. Overhead pitching involves a whole-body motion, including head-neck rotation. A limited range of motion of head-neck rotation may cause inefficient pitching motion; however, this association is unclear.

Objective: To determine the prevalence and related factors associated with ulnar nerve displacement at the elbow in young baseball players.
Oral mucositis is one of the most common adverse effects of radiation and chemotherapy in treatments of cancers. Some clinical guidelines have focused on the prevention and treatment of oral mucositis, and thus, a mouthwash containing drugs is often recommended. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the disappearance time and palatability in the oral cavities of healthy volunteers in foams prepared from different concentrations of the three viscosity grades of methylcellulose (SM-4, -100, -400).

We report here differences in their structures and motility functions under high-viscosity conditions.

To identify novel target genes associated with insulin resistance, we performed a comprehensive analysis of gene expression profiles using a DNA chip method in liver biopsy samples from humans with varying degrees of insulin resistance. Inhibin βE (INHBE) was identified as a novel putative hepatokine with hepatic gene expression that positively correlated with insulin resistance and body mass index in humans.
