Enhanced Recovery After Surgery in Immediate DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction: Reducing Length of Stay and Opioid Use.

To improve patient outcomes amid reduced healthcare resources during the COVID-19 pandemic, a single Canadian cancer center implemented an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol for autologous DIEP flap breast reconstruction. This retrospective cohort study included 100 consecutive patients undergoing microsurgical breast reconstruction with DIEP flaps using the ERAS protocol and 100 patients using a standard protocol. Primary outcomes were the hospital length of stay and opioid use.

Venous Free Flap with Interposition Bypass Graft for Arteriovenous Fistula Preservation: A Case Report.

Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) overlying an arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is rare and presents unique challenges. This case report describes a method of fistula preservation after CSCC excision using a flow-through venous free flap. The saphenous vein of the venous flap was used as flow-through segment for AVF preservation.

Clinical, functional, and radiological results of the Amandys® interposition arthroplasty in 13 cases of wrist osteoarthritis.

Amandys® pyrocarbon interposition arthroplasty is intended for widespread arthritis of the wrist. The aim of this study was to assess the clinical, functional, and radiological results of this arthroplasty with a minimum follow-up of 12 months. This retrospective single-center study brought together all osteoarthritis indications that can benefit from an Amandys® arthroplasty.

[Results of Blauth Palmar Flap in congenital syndactyly: Long-term outcome in a 31 webs study].

Objectives: The main purpose of our study was to assess the web creep rate of congenital syndactyly treated with a Blauth palmar commissural flap.
