Surface tensions (sigma) for {1,4-dioxane + methanol, ethanol, or 1-propanol} at the temperature 298.15 K and normal atmospheric pressure have been determined as a function of mole fractions. The experimental results have been analyzed using the ideal and Langmuir models and in the light of the well-documented bulk properties of these systems, which reflect hydrogen bonding between the alcohol and 1,4-dioxane molecules.
