Role of Hypoxia Induced by Medicinal Plants; A Revolutionary Era of Cellular and Molecular Herbal Medicine in Neuroblastoma Treatment.

As one of the most common solid pediatric cancers, Neuroblastoma (NBL) accounts for 15% of all of the cancer-related mortalities in infants with increasing incidence all around the world. Despite current therapeutic approaches for NBL (radiotherapies, surgeries, and chemotherapies), these approaches could not be beneficial for all of patients with NBL due to their low effectiveness, and some severe side effects. These challenges lead basic medical scientists and clinical specialists toward an optimal medical interventions for clinical management of NBL.

The real prognostic role of laryngeal dysplasia in patients affected by invasive cancer.

Purpose: Transoral laser microsurgery is the mainstay in treating early-stage laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma. However, consensus is lacking in non-radical surgery for infiltrating cancer, and even doubts are cast for patients with laryngeal dysplasia at the resection margins. In this study we aim to assess the prognostic significance of laryngeal dysplasia at the surgical margins in patients radically treated for infiltrating cancer.

Head and Neck Myopericytoma (MPC): A Case Report of Double Synchronous Sinonasal MPC.

Aim: Myopericytoma (MPC) is a rare tumour characterized by a perivascular proliferation of pericytic cells with myoid differentiation and a typical spindle shape. Except for the rare malignant cases, MPC mostly shows a benign course. Symptoms are often non-specific, and the diagnosis could be accidental.

Central Neck Dissection in Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma: Benefits and Doubts in the Era of Thyroid Lobectomy.

Introduction: Surgery is still the main line of treatment for papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) with a current trend for de-intensified treatment based on an excellent prognosis. The role of a routine prophylactic central neck dissection (PCND) is still debated as its impact on oncologic outcomes has never been cleared by a randomized clinical trial. In this study, we aimed to report our long-standing experience in PCND and its potential contemporary role in the treatment of PTC.
