Unlabelled: All eukaryotes utilize regulated secretion to release molecular signals packaged in secretory granules for local and remote signaling. An anion shunt conductance was first suggested in secretory granules of bovine chromaffin cells nearly five decades ago. Biochemical identity of this conductance remains undefined.

Increasing national productivity of the major oilseeds is confronted with yield losses due to diverse biotic and abiotic stresses. The productivity of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea Linnaeus), belonging to the family Brassicaceae, is significantly reduced due to damage caused by mustard aphids (Lipaphis erysimi Kaltenbach, Hemiptera: Aphididae).

We investigated how volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released by the rice variety TN1, both before and after infestation, as well as by its companion weeds, and , influence the behavior of YSB in host selection, recognition, and establishment. Olfactometry bioassays showed that uninfested TN1 plant VOCs attracted YSB more than those from YSB-infested rice plants and weeds.

The nonlinear reaction-diffusion equations proposed for this enzyme-based electrochemical biosensor include a nonlinear term associated with Michaelis-Menten kinetics. Herein, the system of nonlinear reaction-diffusion equations is solved using a modified homotopy perturbation method.
