Problem: Midwives are required to provide care based on Cultural Safety for First Nations women and families. Recent literature has suggested that midwives' understanding of Cultural Safety and how it translates into their practice differs widely. This disparity requires further exploration.

Pre-disability resilience and well-being following the onset of functional impairments.

Objectives: Tested the prospective relationship of a resilient personality prototype determined prior to disability onset to well-being among persons with and without debilitating functional impairments nine to 10 years later. A resilient profile was expected to predict well-being through its beneficial associations with positive affect, perceived control and social support.

Design: Longitudinal, prospective observation study.

Palliative Medicine Consultation Reduces Readmission Significantly in Certain Diagnoses: A Retrospective Analysis.

Hospital readmissions within 30 days are a significant concern due to their negative impact on patient outcomes and healthcare system costs. This retrospective study explores the impact of palliative medicine consultation on reducing readmission rates for patients with severe, life-limiting illnesses. Real-world data from a 21-hospital system was analyzed for six specific diagnoses, including heart failure, sepsis, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Cost-effectiveness of a multicomponent intervention against cognitive decline.

Introduction: The societal costs of dementia and cognitive decline are substantial and likely to increase during the next decades due to the increasing number of people in older age groups. The aim of this multicenter cluster-randomized controlled trial was to assess the cost-effectiveness of a multi-domain intervention to prevent cognitive decline in older people who are at risk for dementia.

Methods: We used data from a multi-centric, two-armed, cluster-randomized controlled trial ( trial, ID: DRKS00013555).

Dietary changes following a lifestyle-based intervention for dementia risk reduction - results from the AgeWell.de study.

Purpose: We investigated the effects of a multidomain lifestyle intervention conducted in older adults at increased risk for dementia on participants' diet.

Methods: Secondary analyses of the cluster-randomized AgeWell.de-trial, testing a multidomain intervention (optimization of nutrition and medication, enhancement of physical, social and cognitive activity) in older adults at increased dementia risk.
