Analysing reaction time distributions can provide insights into decision-making processes in the brain. The Linear Approach to Threshold with Ergodic Rate (LATER) model is arguably the simplest model for predicting reaction time distributions and can summarise distributions with as few as two free parameters. However, the coordinates for visualising and fitting distributions using LATER ("reciprobit" space) are irregular, making the application of this simple model inaccessible to those without a programming background.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAquatic systems have traditionally played a key role in the development of human life, providing multiple ecosystem services to society and being a reservoir for a wide biodiversity of organisms. Among them, bacteria belonging to Legionella stand out, mainly because they are of great interest both in the field of microbial ecology and public health, since some of them turn out to be pathogenic for humans. The aim of this work was to study the monthly temporal dynamics of Legionella spp.

We aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of semaglutide 2·4 mg for weight management and glycaemic control in participants with obesity and prediabetes.
Methods: STEP 10 was a randomised, double-blind, parallel-group, phase 3 trial done across 30 trial sites in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Spain, and the UK and included participants aged 18 years or older with a BMI of 30 kg/m or higher and prediabetes according to UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence criteria (defined as having at least one of the following at screening: HbA of 6·0-6·4% [42-47 mmol/mol] or fasting plasma glucose [FPG] of 5·5-6·9 mmol/L).
