This study presents a novel plasmonic fiber optic sandwich immunobiosensor for the detection of chikungunya, an infectious mosquito-borne disease with chronic musculoskeletal pain and acute febrile illness, by exploiting non-structural protein 3 (CHIKV-nsP3) as a biomarker.
