Skeletal muscle (SM) is essential for movement, stability, and overall body function, and it readily adapts to changes in energy demand. Myogenesis is energy-intensive and involves complex molecular and cellular events. We recently demonstrated that the absence of lysosomal acid lipase (LAL) significantly impacts the SM phenotype, primarily by disrupting energy homeostasis and reducing ATP production.

Objectives: To assess the value of resting LV elastance (also known as force) with transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) to identify HFpEF phenotypes.
Methods: In a prospective, observational, multicenter study, 2380 HFpEF patients were recruited from July 2016 to May 2024.

Background And Aims: Obesity is associated with a higher risk of severe diseases such as atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Polyunsaturated fatty acids, of the omega-3 family (n-3 PUFA), have been shown to reduce adipose tissue inflammation in obesity, as well as to have lipid-lowering effects and improve insulin sensitivity. However, direct effects on liver transcriptome in humans have not been described.

Background: Standard treatment for bone metastases is based on bisphosphonates such as zoledronic acid. The objective of this study was to evaluate the incidence of acute renal failure during treatment with Zoledronate and to analyze its correlated factors.
Materials And Methods: This is a retrospective study carried out at the medical oncology department of Habib Bourguiba University Hospital in Sfax, between January 2022 and March 2022.
