Objective: Genome-length association studies have shown that Gasdermin B (GSDMB) and Orosomucoid-like 3 (ORMDL3) genes located on the long arm of chromosome 17 are associated with asthma. In this study, it was aimed to determine the possible relationship between asthma control test (ACT), exercise provocation test (ECT), and fractional nitric oxide (FENO) levels and GSDMB and ORMDL3 gene expressions.
Methods: 59 asthmatic and 38 non-asthmatic children were included in the study.
Objective: Several studies have established a relationship between low serum vitamin D levels and the onset of asthma in childhood. In this study, we aim to assess the relationship between vitamin D and asthma.
Methods: This study included 29 mild and 30 moderate persistent asthma and 38 healthy control group.
Sulfur mustard (SM) was responsible for more than 80% of all documented chemical casualties during the Great War. Recent literature on clinic picture of SM exposure remained so limited with the sporadic cases who were accidentally exposed to SM especially either in Western Europe or China. We reported a Syrian family of four who became victims of chemical terrorism due to SM exposure and we described the detailed clinical course of the family including the medical history, initial symptomatology, clinical examination, hematological data, and initial treatment in the first 48 hours after exposure at Kilis State Hospital, Turkey.

We examined a possible association between the COMT Val158Met polymorphism and conversion disorder in a study of 48 patients with conversion disorder and 48 control patients. In the conversion disorder group, 31 patients were Val/Met heterozygotes, 15 patients were Val/Val homozygotes and 2 patients were Met/Met homozygotes.
