This paper introduces a novel insulated cable designed to enhance the distribution system's capabilities. Accordingly, high-density polyethylene loaded with varying concentrations of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) ranging from 0.0 to 5 wt% was prepared using the melt-blending technique.

An eco-friendly synthetic route was developed for the formation of nickel oxide (NiO and NiO) nanoparticles (NPs) by treating Ni(NO).6HO with aqueous/ethanolic extracts of leaves; the same reaction was performed in the presence of graphene oxide (GO) to produce NiO@GO and NiO@GO nanocomposites (NCs), respectively. The NMs were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, SEM, EDX, UV-visible spectroscopy, and TGA-DSC analysis.

Article Synopsis
  • This study explores the effective adsorption of the pesticide acephate using chitosan modified with varying amounts of magnetite through a simple co-precipitation method.
  • The best results were achieved with a 1:1 chitosan to iron oxide ratio, achieving a 74.96% removal rate at pH 9.
  • The process parameters such as pH, adsorbent dosage, and initial concentration significantly influenced the effectiveness, and the adsorption was confirmed to be exothermic and primarily chemical in nature, with high stability over multiple cycles.

A reduced pressure glow discharge is produced by passing a high-power pulsed DC source of 0-500 W with a frequency of 50 Hz across two parallel disk electrodes. A hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution is used as a flowing gas for discharge generation. Optical emission spectroscopy is employed to diagnose the discharge generated at a reduced pressure of 0.
