Objective: To assess the association of being overweight or obese with Nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) recurrence, stage progression, and grade progression.
Methods: Patients with NMIBC were included and categorized into 3 groups based on their body mass index (BMI): normal weight, overweight, and obese. Recurrence was defined as any histologically proven bladder cancer on subsequent transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT).
Background: Screening and brief intervention (BI) can reduce risky alcohol use but has not been widely implemented in primary care settings. We sought to implement a screening and telephone-based program within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
Design: Prior to this program, adult patients were routinely screened using AUDIT-C with no further systematic follow-up.

Purpose: Electrocardiography (ECG) and respiratory-gated preclinical cardiac CEST-MRI acquisitions are difficult because of variable saturation recovery with T, RF interference in the ECG signal, and offset-to-offset variation in Z-magnetization and cardiac phase introduced by changes in cardiac frequency and trigger delays.
Methods: The proposed method consists of segmented saturation modules with radial FLASH readouts and golden angle progression. The segmented saturation blocks drive the system to steady-state, and because center k-space is sampled repeatedly, steady-state saturation dominates contrast during gridding and reconstruction.
BCL-2 protein overexpression, common in B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), including the Philadelphia (Ph)-like subtype, mediates leukemic cell survival. We treated 24 patients with 14 days of BCL-2 inhibitor, venetoclax, 400 mg daily (dose level 1) during induction and consolidation cycles combined with the CALGB 10403 regimen in newly diagnosed adults with Ph-negative B-ALL. Median age was 31 (range: 18-53) years, 92% were Hispanic, and 12 (50%) patients had Ph-like ALL.
