Older adults with Alzheimer's disease (AD), in addition to significant cognitive disability, have twice the risk of fracture compared to those with normal cognition. Fractures among older adults with AD are associated with substantial morbidity, loss of physical function, and significant mortality. Prior studies have shown a decreased risk of fracture among those taking acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, such as donepezil.

Understanding when the complete case analysis will lead to consistent parameter estimation is vital before use. Our aim here is to demonstrate when a complete case analysis is consistent for randomly right-censored covariates and to discuss the implications of its use even when consistent.

There are many promising strategies to tackle censored covariates, including weighting, imputation, maximum likelihood, and Bayesian methods. Still, this is a relatively fresh area of research, different from the areas of censored outcomes (i.

We propose and simulate a photonic RC architecture using speckle in a multimode waveguide ring resonator that requires neither the ultra-high-speed analog-digital conversion nor the spatial light modulator used in other designs. We show that the equations for propagation around a multimode (MM) ring resonator along with an optical nonlinearity, and optical feedback can be cast exactly in the standard RC form with speckle mixing performing the pseudo-random matrix multiplications.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFCesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals are promising emissive materials for a variety of optoelectronic applications. To fully realize the potential of these materials, we must understand the energetics and dynamics of multiexciton states which are populated under device relevant excitation conditions. We utilized time-resolved and spectrally-resolved photoluminescence studies to investigate the biexciton binding energy as well as a red-shifted emission feature previously reported under high-flux excitation conditions.
