Olmesartan medoxomil (OLM) is the prodrug of olmesartan, an angiotensin II type 1 receptor blocker that has antihypertensive and antioxidant activities and renal protective properties. It exhibits low water solubility, which leads to poor bioavailability and limits its clinical potential. To improve the solubility of OLM, a host-guest inclusion complex (IC) between heptakis(2,6-di-O-methyl)-β-cyclodextrin (DMβCD) and the drug substance was obtained.

Considering that obesity and hypercholesterolemia exacerbate asthma by promoting systemic inflammation, investigating interventions with dual metabolic and anti-inflammatory effects is essential. This study aimed to evaluate the potential modulatory effects of rosuvastatin in ameliorating the effects of HFrD-induced metabolic and vascular dysfunction in the context of allergic asthma.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 135 patients without pre-existing diabetes, selected from a cohort of 1980 individuals hospitalized between January 2020 and December 2022.
Purpose: We aimed to investigate the knowledge and awareness level of osteoporosis, its risk factors, the possible causes of underdiagnosis, as well as the preventive measures and lifestyle behavior of the Romanian population.
Patients And Methods: A non-interventional, cross-sectional study was performed, consisting of an in-person survey, in 10 pharmacies located in both urban and rural settings in Romania. The survey was distributed to patients ≥40 years old.
