Human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs) constitute a promising therapy for myocardial infarction (MI). The lack of an effective immunosuppressive regimen, combined with single-cell transplantations, results in suboptimal outcomes, such as poor engraftment and compromised therapeutic efficacy. This study aimed to confirm the increased retention of hiPSC-CMs microtissues (CMTs) over single-cell grafts.

A previous review identifying best practices in the design of PMI was last completed using studies published through 2015.
Objective: The aim of this review was to present an updated description of studies comparing one or more types of PMI, including details of if or how patients were involved in PMI design, and to consolidate design elements associated with positive outcomes.
Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) disproportionately impact Latinos in the US. Interventions that promote engagement in established protective behaviors throughout the life course may offer an opportunity to address disparities. To inform brain health promotion efforts, this study aimed to examine current brain health-related attitudes, awareness, and actions of middle-aged Latinos.

Here, we demonstrate that a series of new platinum(ii) bis(acetylide) complexes [Pt(N-N)(C[triple bond, length as m-dash]CPh)] containing sulfur-bridged dipyridyl ligands (N-N) with various sulfur oxidation states: sulfide (S), sulfoxide (SO) and sulfone (SO) give access to variable emission colors from green to deep-blue. Spectroscopic, electrochemical and computational studies show that mixed character excited states have energies which are significantly influenced by the oxidation state of sulfur and the presence of substituents.
