- A study analyzed treatment patterns among 3,595 NSCLC patients, linking their addresses to important SDOH indicators like primary care shortages and internet access, using statistical models to assess correlations.
- Results indicated that living in areas with primary care shortages and in non-metropolitan locations was associated with a higher likelihood of receiving radiation therapy instead of surgery, and patients from disadvantaged areas often started treatment later, suggesting the need to consider SDOHs in cancer outcome studies.
Objective: To conduct a systematic review of the published peer-reviewed articles on the biochemical assessment of nutritional status of South African infants, children and adolescents in 1997-2022.
Design: Online databases (Pubmed, CINAHL, EbscoHost and SAePublications) were used to identify thirty-nine papers.
Setting: South Africa, 1997-2022.
Accurate cancer registry data is crucial for understanding cancer prevention and treatment strategies. Proper education and training are key for successful quality control (QC) programs and an evaluation process is needed to assess effectiveness. Syapse developed a rigorous QC training program that includes a peer review process to assess data quality and an interrater review (IRR) program to evaluate the consistency of QC reviewers.

This article assessed the reintegration measures currently used in this clinical population, defining factors that most influence reintegration for these persons. METHODS: A systematic review of PubMed, Scopus, and the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature databases explored reintegration measures and factors influencing reintegration in stroke populations.
