Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the incidence of vocal cord paralysis (VCP) in children after cardiovascular surgery. The secondary aims were to identify the factors potentially associated with VCP and to assess the diagnostic utility of laryngeal ultrasound (US).

Methods: This study is a retrospective review of patients who underwent aortic repair, patent ductus arteriosus ligation and left pulmonary artery surgeries from 2007 to 2017.

Background And Study Aims: Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a commonly used and fairly sensitive method of assessing changes of chronic pancreatitis (CP) when routine noninvasive imaging has not shown overt features of CP. The aim of this study is to evaluate the interobserver agreement (IOA) for the classic (MSC) and the Rosemont (RC) criteria for the diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis on the basis of clinical practice.

Induction of psoriasis with anti-TNF agents in patients with inflammatory bowel disease: a report of 21 cases.

Aim: Anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha agents are widely used for the treatment of both inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and psoriasis. Psoriatic skin lesions induced by anti-TNF have been described in patients with IBD. We report a case series of psoriasis induced by anti-TNF agents in IBD patients.

Usefulness of endoscopic ultrasonography in the clinical suspicion of biliary disease.

Background And Aims: endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a very sensitive and specific technique for the diagnosis of biliary diseases. This procedure has proven its usefulness in cases of high suspicion of biliary disease (history of gallstones and dilatation of the intrahepatic and/or extrahepatic bile ducts). We know less about its usefulness in cases of low suspicion of biliary pathology.
