Designing equipment to allow high-level pararowing for a person with bilateral transfemoral amputation: A case report.

Rowing requires both the upper and lower body to be active for balance, steering, and propulsion, constituting a real challenge for athletes with disabilities. To our knowledge, adapted setups allowing pararowing for people with bilateral transfemoral amputation have not yet been described. This case report describes the adapted setup for Mr S, 24 years old, who underwent bilateral transfemoral amputation in 2019 after a motorcycle accident.

Synoptic report: Interests of structured standardized operative report in renal surgery.

The synoptic operative report (SOR) is a model with several advantages but still not enough adopted. We studied the performance of a SOR template (FileMaker Pro®, FMP) versus the usual narrative operative report (NOR) template on DxCare® software (DXC) of the urology department at the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital by comparing the number of completed data, the completeness rate, the writing time, and the writing speed and by analyzing the learning curve. Over an 11-week period between March and June 2021, 118 case-control OR for 59 laparoscopic or open, partial or total nephrectomy procedures, for all indications were prospectively created.

Prostate cancer and solid organ transplantation: patient management and outcomes.

Objective: To analyse the management and outcomes of individuals diagnosed with prostate cancer either before or after organ transplantation, as the impact of organ transplantation and associated immunosuppression on the incidence, progression, and mortality of prostate cancer remains an area of substantial clinical interest and uncertainty.

Patients And Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of patients from two tertiary care centres who had solid organ transplantation and were diagnosed with prostate cancer before or after organ transplantation. Data collected included demographics and clinical information.

[Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer and PARP inhibitors: From tumor genomics to new therapeutic combinations].

Castration-resistant metastatic prostate cancer remains lethal and a therapeutic challenge. Current strategies are geared towards the personalization of treatments based on the identification of relevant molecular targets, including genomic alterations involved in tumoral processes. Among these novel targeted therapies, poly-ADP-ribose polymerase inhibitors (PARPi), by blocking the action of enzymes involved in deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) repair, induce the destruction of cells carrying defects in homologous recombination repair, often associated with alterations in genes involved in this mechanism.

Simultaneous liver-kidney transplantation: future perspective.

Background: The aims of this narrative review were (i) to describe the current indications of SLKT, (ii) to report evolution of SLKT activity, (iii) to report the outcomes of SLKT, (iv) to explain the immune-protective effect of liver transplant on kidney transplant, (v) to explain the interest of delay kidney transplantation, using hypothermic machine perfusion (HMP), (vi) to report kidney after liver transplantation (KALT) indications and (vii) to describe the value of the increase in the use of extended criteria donors (ECD) and particular controlled donation after circulatory death (cDCD) transplant, thanks to the development of new organ preservation strategies.

Method: Electronic databases were screened using the keywords "Simultaneous", "Combined", "kidney transplantation" and "liver transplantation". The methodological and clinical heterogeneity of the included studies meant that meta-analysis was inappropriate.
