The paper examined the relationship between the scales of the Luria Nebraska Neuropsychological Battery and measures of cerebral blood flow in a sample of 51 chronic schizophrenic patients without a history of brain damage. Of 88 correlations between the two sets of data, 22 were significant at the .05 level.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA group of 100 neurological, psychiatric, and normal subjects were administered both the Luria-Nebraska Neuropsychological Battery and the Peabody Individual Achievement Test. Correlations between LNNB subtests that tap skills necessary for academic achievement (Reading, Writing, Intellectual Processes, Arithmetic) and corresponding PIAT subtests were high. Correlations between LNNB Localization scales and PIAT scores were also high, with the left Parietal-Occipital Scale showing the highest correlation.

The method does not entail bulky apparatus operated by the examiner. There is lessened possibility of examiner error in providing reinforcement and in recording responses.
