Organic dyes such as methyl orange (MO) and methylene blue (MB) are widely used in different industries and have become one of the leading emerging water contaminants. The purpose of the current research is to develop new polymer nanocomposite filters for the effective elimination of the dyes, which are non-biodegradable and not efficiently removed by traditional treatment methods. New padded and covered filters were produced applying polystyrene-acrylic/ZnO nanocomposite on the polyester surface by blade coating and one-bath pad methods.

Ibuprofen separation from water by adsorption and pertraction processes has been studied, comparing 16 different membranes. Tailor-made membranes based on Matrimid, Ultem, and diaminobenzene/diaminobenzoic acid with various contents of zeolite and graphene oxide, have been compared to the commercial polystyrene, polypropylene, and polydimethylsiloxane polymeric membranes. Experimental results revealed lower ibuprofen adsorption onto commercial membranes than onto tailor-made membranes (10-15% compared to 50-70%).

Pharmaceutical wastewater pollution has reached an alarming stage, as many studies have reported. Membrane separation has shown great performance in wastewater treatment, but there are some drawbacks and undesired byproducts of this process. Selective membranes could be used for pollutant investigation sensors or even for pollutant recovery.

Improvement the mechanisms and levels of adhesion forces of dental photocomposite filling (restorative) materials to hard tissues of teeth, improvement of filling materials and increasing their availability is an urgent problem for theoretical and practical dentistry. Aim of the study - experimental evaluation of the strength of adhesion to the hard tissues of non-vital teeth for adhesive systems in combination with modern dental photocomposite filling (restorative) materials. 80 tests of the adhesion strength of the dental photocomposite filling (restorative) material to the tooth hard tissues (shear strength) were carried out for 8 pairs of "photocomposite-adhesive system" using an automated tensometric system.

Chronic renal failure is one of the most challenging complications after the completed surgical treatment for renal cell cancer. In 2016, a grading system of tumorous renal involvement was developed, referred to as NCIU nephrometry. However, the systematic parameter to reflect the functional status of the functional renal parenchyma is defined by tumor volume only, with no regard for spatial disposition of the segment(s) where the tumor is located.
