Background: Obesity and related health challenges remain significant concerns in Cyprus and Greece. Mindful eating (ME) has emerged as a behavioral approach to address these issues, yet its relationship with BMI, vitamin D levels, and sleep duration in Mediterranean populations is underexplored.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine associations between ME subcategories (Awareness, Distraction, Disinhibition, Emotional, and External Cues), BMI, vitamin D levels, and sleep duration among Cypriot and Greek adults across two cohorts.

Prostate cancer (PCa) is a common malignancy in men and is among the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide. Genomic tests assess disease aggressiveness and guide treatment, particularly in low- and intermediate-risk PCa. We reviewed the literature on the use of four genomic tests (Prolaris, Promark, Oncotype DX, and Decipher) in assessing the prognosis of PCa and their use in treatment decision-making.

The advancement of digital technologies, including 3-dimensional (3D) imaging and computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), and material science has significantly transformed dentistry. Current CAD/CAM techniques incorporate both subtractive and additive (eg, 3D printing) manufacturing methods, with 3D printing offering such benefits as reduced material waste and the ability to produce complex geometries. Much research has focused on the development of hybrid materials that merge the esthetics and durability of ceramics with the high flexural strength, low abrasiveness, and intraoral repairability characteristics of resin composites.

The Cyprus Biobank collects biosamples, medical and lifestyle information with the aim of reaching 16,500 Cypriots aged ≥ 18-years, by year 2027, as part of a multitasked EU funded project. Volunteers are both from the general population and from disease cohorts of focused research projects, who amongst others will contribute to canvas the architecture of the Cyprus human genome and study the healthy and morbid anatomy of Cypriots. The Cyprus Biobank is a research infrastructure pillar of the biobank.
