Synthesis, characterization, and enzyme inhibition evaluation of sitagliptin derivatives and their metal complexes.

Aims: This study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of novel sitagliptin derivatives, aiming to develop potent, orally active anti-diabetic agents with minimal side effects for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Copper (II) (SCu1-SCu9) and zinc (II) (SZn1-SZn9) metal complexes of sitagliptin-based derivatives were synthesized via a template reaction.

Material & Method: The synthesized complexes were comprehensively characterized using elemental analysis, FTIR, UV-Vis, 1 h NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy.

Pizotifen maleate (PZM) is an anti-migraine drug. Effective treatment requires accurate measurement of PZM levels in patients and constant medication concentrations in tablets. This paper presents a new spectrofluorimetric approach for detecting PZM in tablets and human blood plasma (spiked with PZM).

Method: The analysis is based on a survey of key dimensions in care delivery, comparing routine treatment, advanced technology integration, research participation, and innovation adoption across the two types of centers.

Results: Clinical Cancer Centers excel in providing routine cancer treatment through multidisciplinary teams but struggle with advanced technology integration and research participation.
