Translating the research base on effective reading instruction to the classroom has been a challenge. The delivery of these instructional methods requires practical skills coupled with an understanding of the aspects of language being taught. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a novel pandemic virus. Mounting evidence supports the possibility of vertical transmission, which at the present time appears to be rare. We report a newborn with vertically acquired SARS-CoV-2 who developed acute respiratory failure and received remdesivir and coronavirus disease 2019 convalescent plasma.

We aimed to describe transcatheter PDA closure in small infants including predictors of technical success and rate of complication and to identify factors associated with improved respiratory status after closure.
Methods: All patients in the NICU at our center who were referred for transcatheter PDA occlusion between 1/2010 and 11/2014 were retrospectively identified.
