Article Synopsis
  • A series of novel compounds called 4-(aryl)-benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-]pyrimidine-3-carbonitriles were synthesized using Povarov reactions and oxidation techniques starting from specific benzimidazole derivatives.
  • During the synthesis process, it was found that certain structural rearrangements, termed [1,3] sigmatropic rearrangement, occurred, leading to the formation of dihydrobenzimidazo[1,2-]pyrimidines.
  • The newly formed compounds were characterized using various analytical techniques and exhibited interesting photophysical properties, including solvatochromism and changes in emission upon mechanical stimulation.

We theoretically demonstrate that the chiral structure of the nodes of nodal semimetals is responsible for the existence and universal local properties of the edge states in the vicinity of the nodes. We perform a general analysis of the edge states for an isolated node of a 2D semimetal, protected by chiral symmetry and characterized by the topological winding number N. We derive the asymptotic chiral-symmetric boundary conditions and find that there are N+1 universal classes of them.

In pulmonary practice the effectiveness of the therapy depends on a method of drug delivery. In case of different forms of medications, which can be used for the treatment of patients with obstructive pulmonary diseases physicians usually choose inhalants. In this publication authors examines the main aspects of the use of nebulizers in the treatment of obstructive pulmonary diseases: types of nebulizers, their capabilities and limitations, indications for inhalation therapy and drug policy.

Pneumonia is one of the common complications of wounds of any localization. Therapists are involved into the treatment of lung lesions in wounded in the ICU, in the surgical and if the patient arrives "on follow-up care,"--in the medical ward. The article analyzes the main statistical indicators reflecting the prevalence and clinical and pathogenetic characteristics of lung pathology in wounded during the Great Patriotic War, during the fighting Soviet troops in the Republic of Afghanistan, the 1st and 2nd Chechen campaign.
