Photophysical, thermal and imaging studies on vancomycin functional branched poly(-isopropyl acrylamide) of differing degrees of branching containing nile red for detection of Gram-positive bacteria.

Highly branched poly(-isopropyl acrylamide) additives chain end functionalised with vancomycin have been designed to agglutinate and report on targetted Gram-positive strains of bacteria (). These branched systems selectively desolvate with temperature or binding interactions depending on their chain architecture. We have prepared samples with three different degrees of branching which have incorporated Nile red acrylate as a low concentration of co-monomer to report upon their solution properties.

[Effect of mobile phone electromagnetic emission on characteristics of cerebral blood circulation and neurohumoral regulations in humans].

It was investigated in experiment on volunteers the influence of mobile phone (MP) electromagnetic emission on brain blood supply rheoencephalographic parameters, and on status of neurohumoral regulation using the heart rate variability analysis. It was established that influence of MP electromagnetic emission results in adverse movement by cerebral blood flow and regulatory systems of organism.

[Sorption of components from a mixture of odorants by polysaccharides of starch, chitosan, and carrageenan].

Sorption of components from a mixture of odorants in aqueous suspensions of native cornstarch, chitosan, and carrageenan was studied by the method of capillary gas-liquid chromatography. Binding was primarily effected via hydrophobic cooperative interactions. The amount of sorbed odorants depended linearly on their initial concentration in the suspension.

[Realization of a radiation treatment plan in a moving-field irradiation regimen for patients with oral cavity tumors].

The authors propose an original means of the control over marking out and alignment for the implementation of a radiotherapeutic plan in the moving field irradiation regimen for patients with oral tumors. The purpose of the method is to get a cross-sectional tomogram of the zone under study and a one-time representation of the fluctuation center on it in accordance with the radiotherapeutic plan and marking out. To realize this goal a metal needle was used fixed on the tube of the tomograph x-ray tube in the plane that goes through the tube focus and pivotal axis round a patient.
