[Management of risks linked to the sterilization of reusable medical devices in dentistry].

Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the risks associated with the sterilization process for reusable medical devices (RMD) in stomatology, by applying the FMECA method, with a view to implementing the necessary corrective and preventive actions necessary to secure this process.

Methods: The study, which was descriptive, took place between June and July 2024 in the medicine and dental surgery department of our hospital and concerned the moist heat sterilization process of RMD. The study began by defining its scope and the formation of the work team, followed by the functional analysis of the process, the identification of the failure modes (FM), the definition of the rating scales, the rating of the FM and finally the calculation of the criticality index and the development of the action plan.

Antimycobacterial activity of a Brevibacillus laterosporusstrain isolated from a moroccan soil.

The treatment of tuberculosis has become more difficult with the worldwide spread of multidrug-resistant (MDR) and extensively drug-resistant (XDR) strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Moreover, the prevalence of human disease caused by atypical mycobacteria has also increased in the past two decades and has further complicated the problem of the treatment of mycobacterial infections. It is therefore urgent to develop new highly active molecules against these bacteria.

Metastatic ameloblastoma responding to combination chemotherapy: case report and review of the literature.

Background: Ameloblastoma is a rare benign odontogenic tumor with locally aggressive behavior and a high recurrence rate. When metastases occur, which are uncommon, lungs constitute the most frequent site involved. Malignant ameloblastomas are different from ameloblastic carcinomas.

[Granulomatous prostatitis (report of 6 cases)].

A retrospectively series of six patients with non-specific granulomatous prostatitis is reported. The diagnosis was revealed by the histological examination trans-urethral resection or enucleated prostatique. Only histological examination is able to established the definitive diagnosis.

[Wolfram syndrome. Report of 3 cases].

Wolfram's syndrome is an autosomal recessive neurodegenerative disease. The major manifestations consist of diabetes mellitus and bilateral optic atrophy and are sufficient to establish the diagnosis. Urinary manifestations constitute an integral part of the syndrome, as they are present in up to 62% of cases and represent one of the major causes of morbidity.
