Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) have emerged as promising candidates for cancer therapy due to their unique physicochemical properties and biocompatibility. In this study, we investigate the synthesis, characterization, and therapeutic potential of AuNPs in breast cancer treatment. Further, it establishes a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms by which AuNPs suppress angiogenesis and breast cancer growth, identifying novel targets and signaling nodes contributing to the anti-tumor effects of AuNPs.

Furthermore, the study evaluates the association between admission temperature, neonatal morbidity, and in-hospital mortality.
Methods: This study involved an eight-year retrospective analysis of preterm neonates born < 32 weeks of gestation and admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit at a tertiary hospital in Oman, from 2010 to 2017.
Event management systems (EMS) are key tools for epidemic intelligence, integrating surveillance signals and incident response, although international standards to inform development are lacking. We describe the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) SITAware, a software capable of operating with low internet bandwidth to generate notifications, reports, and spatiotemporal dashboards and provide event-level data for real-time accountability and postevent learning. SITAware was enabled by local institutional ownership, co-created at low cost, and integrated into existing workflows.

Due to their potent immunosuppressive properties, multilineage differentiation potential, and lack of ethical issues, WJ-MSCs are considered a promising candidate for therapeutic applications. However, large-scale in vitro expansion is necessary to obtain enough cells for therapeutic purposes.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOleic acid liposomes (OALs) are novel vesicular carriers ofunsaturated fatty acids and their corresponding ionized species, arranged within an enclosed lipid bilayer. This study aimed to encapsulate moxifloxacin HCl (MOX), a broad-spectrum antibacterial drug into OALs for effective treatment of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection through topical application. Various OALs were formulatedby combining varied quantities of phosphatidylcholine (PC), oleic acid (OA), and cholesterol (CH) with 50 mg of MOX.
