Aseptic Meningitis and White Matter Disease in Childhood-Onset Neuropsychiatric Lupus.

We reported a 10-year-old girl who had an atypical demyelinating disease as the presentation of her neuropsychiatric lupus. The patient had a 4-year history of systemic lupus erythematosus which had been on remission until she presented with fever and headache at the age of 10 years. Physical examination showed meningism.

Interventions to support the psychological empowerment of nurses: a scoping review.

Background: Establishing an empowering work environment is significantly contributing to nurse's job satisfaction, performance, retention, and organizational success. This study aimed to conduct a scoping review to chart and synthesize current research on interventions to support nurses' psychological empowerment.

Methods: Ten databases were searched, including PubMed/Medline, Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, EBSCOhost, Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, and OpenGrey, following the Joanna Briggs Institute's methodology for scoping reviews.

Comparison of urinary excretion patterns among exposures to cosmetic preservative, herbicide, and nootropic stimulant in anti-doping analysis.

Doping with meclofenoxate, a nootropic stimulant prohibited in-competition by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), is identified through the primary marker of urinary 4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid (4-CPA). However, the presence of 4-CPA can also arise from permissible sources. This study ventured into comparing urinary excretion patterns among exposures to permitted chemicals (chlorphenesin and 4-CPA) and the banned stimulant (meclofenoxate) and interpreting the analytical findings according to the reporting requirements.

Aim: Compare the efficacy and procedural efficiency of central vascular plug-assisted portal vein embolization (PVE) with absolute ethanol compared to selective PVE.

Materials And Methods: Between 2016 and 2023, patients who underwent ipsilateral percutaneous transhepatic PVE were included. Selective PVE involves serial cannulation and embolization of portal veins.
