Web-Based Passive Surveillance: Multifactorial Assessment of Sonali Chicken Diseases and Antimicrobial Prescription Pattern in Bangladesh.

Despite the significant growth in Sonali chicken production across Bangladesh, inadequate disease surveillance and control measures along with indiscriminate antimicrobial use remain major challenges to the sector. In this study, we evaluated the disease burden and antimicrobial prescription patterns of Sonali chickens in Bangladesh using a web-based data recording system from 2020 to 2021 and analyzed 1690 cases. The diagnoses recorded in the system were presumptive, as they were based on clinico-epidemiological history, clinical signs, and gross necropsy findings noted by registered veterinarians.

Pediococcus pentosaceus is well known for its probiotic properties, including roles in improving health, antimicrobial production, and enhancing fermented food quality. This study aimed to comprehensively analyze the whole genome of P. pentosaceus MBBL6, isolated from healthy cow milk, to assess its probiotic and antimicrobial potentials.

This study explores the interactions between pepsin and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) using conductometric analysis and molecular docking to deepen our understanding of the role of pepsin. Conductometric studies were conducted to examine the micellization behavior of SDS in aqueous solutions of various sodium electrolytes (NaBr, Na₂SO₄, Na₃PO₄, and CH₃COONa) at temperatures ranging from 300.55 K to 320.

Assessment of fish habitat suitability in the wake of elevated pollution of a tropical river in India.

Evaluating fish habitat suitability (FHS) is of utmost importance in the present times, as rising pollution and ecological stress have led to the deterioration of their habitat and population. The present study has evaluated ecological water quality using the comprehensive pollution index (CPI), eutrophication index (EI), and organic pollution index (OPI). Fish community structure has been assessed based on tropic level score (TLC) and habitat orientation score (HOS).
