Introduction: The prevalence of myopia has increased significantly in recent years including an earlier onset of myopia development on the pediatric population. The main objective of the study is to compare CUVAF (Conjunctival Ultraviolet Autofluorescence) in children with and without myopia to validate its usefulness as an outdoor protective biomarker.

Methods: A case-control observational study was conducted in a child cohort from subjects that attended to the Ophthalmology Department of Clínica Universidad de Navarra for an ophthalmological examination.

A 21-month-old girl presented with acute-onset esotropia with unexplained fever, conjunctivitis, and rash. Sensorimotor examination revealed the presence of a left abducens nerve palsy. After cardiogenic shock, she was found to have multiple large coronary artery aneurysms and was diagnosed with incomplete Kawasaki disease.

The emergence of artificial intelligence is profoundly impacting computational chemistry, particularly through machine-learning interatomic potentials (MLIPs). Unlike traditional potential energy surface representations, MLIPs overcome the conventional computational scaling limitations by offering an effective combination of accuracy and efficiency for calculating atomic energies and forces to be used in molecular simulations. These MLIPs have significantly enhanced molecular simulations across various applications, including large-scale simulations of materials, interfaces, chemical reactions, and beyond.

Background: Deficiency of adenosine deaminase 2 (DADA2) is a rare autosomal recessive autoinflammatory disorder associated with systemic vasculitis and bone marrow failure. Reported ophthalmic findings in DADA2 include optic neuritis, retinal artery occlusion, uveitis, and optic atrophy. We report the case of a child found to have bilateral cataracts.

Background: Strabismus is known to negatively affect patients' self-confidence and ability to interact with society. Strabismus is commonly depicted in animated films marketed to children, potentially influencing the perception of strabismus by young impressionable audiences.

Methods: We reviewed all animated films released by Walt Disney Animation Studios from 1989 to 2022 and all films released by Pixar, DreamWorks, and Studio Ghibli before 2023 and identified all characters with strabismus.
