Neurotensin is a regulatory peptide that can act as a growth factor on different types of normal and cancerous cells. Binding of Neurotensin to relevant receptors leads to cell proliferation, survival, migration and invasion by changing intracellular enzyme activity. Therefore, the design of a neurotensin-based radiopeptide plays an important role in targeted imaging or therapy of neurotensin receptor-positive tumors.

Accurate identification of the tumor, staging and development of cancer cells is crucial for selecting optimal treatments to minimize disease recurrence. Quantum dots (QDs) represent an exciting class of fluorescent nanoprobes in molecular detection and targeted tumor imaging.

Metals and metalloids are widely used in producing plastic materials as fillers and pigments, which can be used to track the environmental fate of real-life nanoplastics in environmental and biological systems. Therefore, this study investigated the metal and metalloids concentrations and fingerprint in real-life model nanoplastics generated from new plastic products (NPP) and from environmentally aged ocean plastic fragments (NPO) using single particle-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (SP-ICP-TOF-MS) and transmission electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (TEM-EDX). The new plastic products include polypropylene straws (PPS), polyethylene terephthalate bottles (PETEB), white low-density polyethylene bags (LDPEB), and polystyrene foam shipping material (PSF).

The objective of this study was to assess the wastewater treatment system (WWTS) in Zabol Industrial Town using the life cycle assessment method. Primary data, collected annually for a functional unit of 1 m of wastewater treatment, were subjected to analysis using the ReCiPe, Cumulative Energy Demand, and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) methods.
