Introduction: The impact of sex on coronary artery disease prognosis is debated. It has been postulated that women receive less prompt treatment compared with men, potentially adversely affecting their prognosis by significantly increasing the risk of morbidity and mortality. We aim to investigate the influence of sex on the timing and clinical outcomes of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients using a controlled Swiss registry.

Improved testing for facial weakness in the early phase of GBS may improve diagnostic processes, as such weakness is found in approximately 50% of patients with GBS. This work pilots the utility of high-speed video analysis to complement blink reflex testing in early GBS.

The change in fat oxidation by NZBC has also been shown to be correlated to body composition in men and women. There has never been a comparison of sex responses within the same study.

However, studies that characterize IBD cohorts typically rely on a single resource, apply diverse eligibility criteria, and extract variable sets of attributes, making comparison between cohorts challenging. We aim to longitudinally describe and compare IBD patient cohorts across multiple geographic regions, employing unified data and analysis framework.

Whilst people with IGE may consider themselves seizure free, they often experience interictal epileptiform discharges (IEDs) that may be associated with unrecognised periods of impaired awareness. As such, the presence of long IEDs associated with unrecognised loss of awareness pose a major challenge in allowing these individuals to drive safely, particularly since not all IEDs are associated with impaired awareness.
