Photocatalytic advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) promise a chemical-free route to energy-efficient degradation of waterborne micropollutants if long-standing mass transfer and light management issues can be overcome. Herein, we developed a dual-porous photocatalytic system consisting of a mesoporous (i.e.

Methods: An experimental phantom study was conducted, and 48 different radiographs of TS (24 AP/24 lateral) were acquired. The Automatic Exposure Control/(AEC) with the central sensor was used to select the beam intensity, while Source-to-Detector-Distance/(SDD) (AP:115/125 cm; Lateral:115/150 cm), tube potential (AP:70/81/90 kVp; Lateral: 81/90/102 kVp), use of grid/no grid and focal spot (fine/broad) were manipulated.
The remains of those who perished at Herculaneum in 79 CE offer a unique opportunity to examine lifeways across an ancient community who lived and died together. Historical sources often allude to differential access to foodstuffs across Roman society but provide no direct or quantitative information. By determining the stable isotope values of amino acids from bone collagen and deploying Bayesian models that incorporate knowledge of protein synthesis, we were able to reconstruct the diets of 17 adults from Herculaneum with unprecedented resolution.

In this paper, we report on the self-assembly of amphiphilic porphyrin derivatives possessing a chiral information on the periphery of the macrocycle (i.e.
