[Peripheral blood parameters in lipid metabolic disturbances in Far North migrants].

The authors present the results of a study of peripheral blood in Far North newcomers with lipid metabolic disturbances. All the dwellers having lipid metabolic disturbances are shown to have elevated counts of white blood cells, with the greatest changes occurring in the levels of blood corpuscles in subjects with hypertriglyceridemia.

[Development of oxidative stress in high-latitude dwellers exposed to Far North factors].

The paper presents data of examining 238 residents from the Yamal region. The study of free radical oxidation values in patients with dyslipidemia has revealed that there is an association between the parameters of lipid metabolism and the rate of lipid peroxidation and the activation of the antioxidant system.
