Background: Metabolomics is a high-throughput technology that measures small molecule metabolites in cells, tissues or biofluids. Analysis of metabolomics data is a multi-step process that involves data processing, quality control and normalization, followed by statistical and bioinformatics analysis. The latter step often involves pathway analysis to aid biological interpretation of the data.

The general problem of relating changes in levels of individual metabolites to specific biological processes is compounded by the large number of unknown metabolites present in untargeted liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) studies.

Meeting participants highlighted gaps in the existing European programmes focusing on cancer research, including Europe's Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP), the Mission on Cancer (MoC), Understanding Cancer (UNCAN.eu), and the joint action CRANE, and put forward the next priorities, in the form of the Heidelberg Manifesto for cancer research.

Objectives: Olfactory function deteriorates with age, and definitive mechanisms by which this decline occurs are likely multifactorial. The present study, conducted on a large cohort of healthy participants, aimed to investigate whether odor thresholds would differ for variable odors with different physicochemical (e.g.

However, a safe and reliable clinical translation requires a mechanistic understanding of graft function, as well as the assurance of long-term efficacy and safety. By employing hPSC-derived chemically matured migratory cINs in two models of epilepsy, we demonstrate lasting efficacy in treating seizures and comorbid deficits, as well as safety without uncontrolled growth.
