Introduction: Current guidelines recommend percutaneous drainage as the first-line approach for the management of symptomatic lymphoceles following renal transplantation, with surgical fenestration reserved for refractory or recurrent cases. This study evaluates the effectiveness and safety of these therapeutic strategies in renal transplant recipients.
Methods: A retrospective analysis of 109 renal transplant recipients with symptomatic lymphoceles treated between 1993 and 2023 at a single public center was conducted.
Background: In recent years aesthetic injection techniques with soft tissue fillers have become popular worldwide due to their effectiveness, safety, and low cost. There is no standard approach to the management and follow-up of patients seeking penile enlargement procedures described in the literature, and the surgical penile enlargement methods are controversial.
Objectives: The goals of this study were to assess the effect of injection penile girth enlargement on sexual relationship satisfaction, confidence, and self-esteem, and to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of this procedure for the management of men with small penis syndrome (SPS).
Background: To demonstrate modified technique of penile lengthening.
Methods: We have reviewed 30 patients who underwent surgery with the use of the proposed "cross-method" and also compared with 35 patients who had surgery with the division of the suspensory ligament performed with the use of V-Y plasty method.
Results: We have achieved better enlargement and SEAR (self-esteem and relationship) scores with the "cross-method" compared to V-Y plasty.
Objective: The study aimed to compare eye outcomes between the standard and accelerated corneal cross-linking (CXL) protocols over a 1-year follow-up, and assess whether the accelerated protocols are non-inferior to the standard.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study including patients older than 18 years diagnosed with progressive keratoconus who underwent a CXL procedure. The primary outcome was defined as an increase of more than 1.
Efficacy and security of treatment of varicocele constitute a complex issues in urology, necessitating the additional investigations conduction. The results of surgical treatment of 280 patients, suffering left-sided varicocele and operated using three different methods--retroperitoneal varicocelectomy, laparoscopic varicocelectomy and subinguinal microsurgical varicocelectomy (SMV)--were analyzed. The advantages and faults of these methods were estimated, basing on the recurrence rate, complications by hidrocele occurrence and changes in the patients quality of life.
