The Mediating Role of Meaning and Purpose in Life in the Relationship Between Spiritual Well-Being and Depressive Symptoms Among Older Adults in Türkiye.

This study aimed to examine the relationship between depressive symptoms and spiritual well-being in older adults, with a particular focus on the mediating role of meaning and purpose of life in this relationship. This research used a correlational and cross-sectional design and was conducted with 148 older adults between May and August 2023. Data were collected face-to-face using a personal information form, the Geriatric Depression Scale-15 (short form), the Spiritual Well-Being Scale, and the Meaning and Purpose of Life Scale.

Comparison of HiDAC Versus FLAG-IDA in the Treatment of Relapsed Acute Myeloid Leukemia and High-Risk Myelodysplastic Syndrome.

Background: Relapsed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (HR-MDS) are associated with a poor prognosis. It is unknown which re-induction therapy provides the highest chance of durable remission. Commonly used therapies are high dose cytarabine (HiDAC) and triple therapy consisting of fludarabine, cytarabine, and idarubicin combined with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (FLAG-IDA).

Evaluation of Oxidative Stress and Cellular Immunity in Grades III-IV Knee Osteoarthritis.

Objectives: In this study, the Kellgren and Lawrence system was used as the most common radiographic grading system for diagnosis of osteoarthritis in patients defined as Grade III and IV. It is aimed to reveal oxidative stress and cellular immunity status. In this context, the aim is to discuss possible risk parameters regarding disease process and treatment effectiveness.

The effects of gabapentin and pregabalin on fracture healing: A histological, radiological, and biomechanical analysis.

Objectives: This study evaluated the impact of different doses of gabapentin and pregabalin on fracture healing in a rat femoral shaft model, with histological, radiological, and biomechanical assessments.

Materials And Methods: Seventy male Wistar albino rats were divided into five groups: control, low-dose gabapentin (GBP-L, 300 mg/day), high-dose gabapentin (GBP-H, 3600 mg/day), low-dose pregabalin (PRG-L, 150 mg/day), and high-dose pregabalin (PRG-H, 600 mg/day), based on human equivalent doses. Bilateral femoral fractures were induced; the right femurs were prepared for radiological examination using microtomography, followed by histological analysis, whereas the left femurs were allocated for biomechanical testing.

The role of ruxolitinib in the management of acute GVHD.
