Cowslip (Primula veris L.) is an anioxidant-rich plant used for many food and medicinal purposes. In this study, the effect of incorporating hydrogen (H) into water (HRW), ethanol (HRE), and methanol (HRM) on the extraction of flavonoids (TFC), phenolics (TPC), and antioxidants (metal chelation, FRAP, DPPH, and ABTS) as well as color (L*, a*, b*, C*, H°), chlorophyll (a, b), lycopene, and β-carotene of wild cowslip flowers was evaluated.

Surgical management of congenital mitral stenosis in a patient with Kabuki syndrome.

Congenital mitral stenosis is a rare anomaly. We report successful surgical management of congenital mitral stenosis in a patient with Kabuki syndrome. A 15-month-old male with Kabuki syndrome was referred and echocardiography showed isolated congenital mitral stenosis.

PdRuO/PVP nanomaterial as a highly selective, stable, and applicable potentiometric sensor for the detection of Cr.

PdRuO/PVP nanomaterial was synthesized using a straightforward method and characterized using advanced analytical methods such as TEM, XRD, XPS, elemental mapping and SEM. The synthesized PdRuO/PVP nanomaterial was used as an ionophore in potentiometric sensor electrodes and successfully adapted to Cr ion detection in a large number of aqueous samples. Several experimental parameters of the PdRuO/PVP sensor such as potentiometric behavior, selectivity, repeatability, response time, pH, titration, and recovery in real samples were investigated.

Experiences of workers with long-term disabilities on employer support throughout the RTW process in The Netherlands: a qualitative study.

Purpose: The aim of this qualitative study was to explore ways that employer support influenced successful return to work (RTW) in workers with disabilities.

Methods: We conducted a semi-structured interview study among 27 workers with disabilities in the Netherlands who received a partial disability benefit two years after sick leave and who continued working in paid (part-time) employment after a period of long-term sickness absence (> 2 years). We analyzed data by means of thematic analysis.
