Luteolin-Loaded Elastic Liposomes for Transdermal Delivery to Control Breast Cancer: In Vitro and Ex Vivo Evaluations.

The study aimed to prepare and optimize luteolin (LUT)-loaded transdermal elastic liposomes (LEL1-LEL12), followed by in vitro and ex vivo evaluations of their ability to control breast cancer. Various surfactants (Span 60, Span 80, and Brij 35), and phosphatidyl choline (PC) as a lipid, were used to tailor various formulation as dictated by "Design Expert software (DOE). These were characterized for size, polydispersity index (PDI), and zeta potential.

Gamma / neutron radiation shielding, structural and physical characteristics of iron slag nanopowder.

The current study explores the effectiveness of an iron slag nanopowder (ISNP), which prepared from local iron steel industry, against gamma/neutron shielding. The structural and physical characteristics were experimentally determined. The crystal structure, morphology and elemental composition of the ISNP were studied using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX).

Resident satisfaction with the pediatric surgery training program.

Background: The pediatric surgery residency program is new in Saudi Arabia. As with any new program, residents experience a degree of fear and anxiety about their future in the program. The aim of this study is to examine residents' satisfaction with the program.

Parathyroid hormone (PTH) has attracted considerable interest as a bone anabolic agent. PTH plays a central role in regulating calcium phosphate metabolism and its increases in production in response to low serum calcium levels. A continuous hypersecretion of PTH, as occurs in primary hyperparathyroidism, leads to bone resorption.
