Demand response-based load scheduling in smart power grids is currently one of the most important topics in energy optimization. There are several benefits to utility companies and their customers from this strategy. The main goal of this work is to employ a load scheduling controller (LSC) to model and solve the scheduling issue for household appliances.

Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on energy optimization in smart power grids (SPGs) to improve efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness while addressing challenges posed by the uncertainty of distributed generations (DGs) and loads.
  • It introduces a novel optimization model using a probabilistic method combined with the multi-objective wind-driven optimization (MOWDO) technique, which considers economic, environmental, and comfort factors, while also incorporating a hybrid demand response (HDR) system and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for sustainability.
  • Experimental results demonstrate that this new model outperforms existing methods like the multi-objective bird swarm optimization (MOBSO) in optimizing operational costs, user comfort, and pollution emissions.

In this paper, we introduce a novel Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller for standalone Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) with Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators (PMSG). The primary novelty of our controller lies in its implementation of an Arbitrary Order Sliding Mode Control (AOSMC) to effectively overcome the challenges caused by the measurement noise in the system. The considered model is transformed into a control-convenient input-output form.

The quality of Paeoniae Radix Alba and Paeoniae Radix Rubra is evaluated by root thickness, and paeoniflorin serves as a common quality indicator of them. However, the correlation between the content of bioactive compounds and the root size is still unclear. Therefore, this study characterized the distribution patterns and content of seven bioactive compounds including paeoniflorin in different tissues of Paeonia lactiflora roots, analyzed the correlation between the root size and the content of bioactive compounds based on the xylem-to-bark ratio, and further determined the index components for quality assessment.

The roots of Chuanmingshen violaceum is a commonly used Chinese herb and food, which contains rich amino acids. However, the kinds and amounts of amino acids are variety in this herb among the geographical location and ecological environment. Therefore, this study firstly developed a new pre-column derived HPLC method to quantify the levels of 18 amino acids in Ch.

Because the red and bright color of corolla is the main indicator for the quality assessment of good safflower, the dyed safflower is sometimes found at the herbal market, what is influence on this herb quality and efficacy. A total of 127 safflower samples was therefore collected from different cultivating areas and herbal markets in China to develop a rapid method to identify the dyed safflower. Near-infrared spectroscopy(NIRS) combined with characteristic identification, high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),principal component analysis(PCA) and partial least squares regression analysis(PLS) were employed to differentiate safflower from dyed safflower samples, and further quantify the levels of the 6 dyes,i.
