The article discusses the experience of complex therapy of rhinitis and sinusitis in children of various age groups, confirming the effectiveness of the combined effects of local thermotherapy, pulsed red light and low-frequency magnetic field. This combination of physical factors has an anti-inflammatory, decongestant, stimulating local cellular activity effect and helps to increase the effectiveness and reduce the overall treatment time for these diseases. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the combined use of heat, red spectrum phototherapy and magnetic field in the treatment of children with rhinitis and sinusitis.

Medical rehabilitation of children suffering from bronchial asthma is based on the complex use of natural therapeutic factors, drug, non-drug therapy and other methods in order to achieve control over the disease and long-term remission. The use of non-drug technologies is necessary taking into account the pathogenesis of the bronchial asthma development and is aimed at relieving bronchospasm, reducing the activity of allergic inflammation in the bronchi, improving their drainage function, strengthening the respiratory muscles and increasing exercise tolerance. [The application of the physical factors for the medical rehabilitation of the children presenting with neurogenic dysfunction of the bladder].

This article describes the modern technologies for the medical rehabilitation of the children presenting with neurogenic dysfunction of the bladder aimed at improving the act of urination at all levels of innervation. The most frequent variant of neurogenic dysfunction of the bladder in the children is the hyper-reflexive one; it is this variant in which the most pronounced disorders of urodynamics due to intravesical hypertension and detrusor hypoxia are observed. The urodynamic disorders are known to contribute to the formation of the characteristic clinical picture associated with the hyper-reflexive urinary bladder dysfunction in the children characterized by the mandatory urination syndrome, pollakiuria, imperative urges, and mandatory urinary incontinence in the combination with enuresis.

[The application of the modern phototherapeutic technologies for the medical rehabilitation of the children].

This literature review is focused on the application of polychromatic and monochromatic polarized light for the treatment of various diseases of the childhood including those in the newborns and the premature babies. The analysis of the data of scientific research gives evidence of the beneficial effect of polychromatic polarized light on the clinical course of various skin diseases in the newborn children. Moreover, the improved immunological and reparative processes were revealed after the surgical interventions for congenital heart defects in the newborns.

[The medical rehabilitation of the children presenting with atopic dermatitis (a literature review)].

Atopic dermatitis takes the predominant position in the structure of skin pathologies in the children of various age. Both the scientifically based forecasts and the data of numerous investigations give evidence not only of the significant increase in the number of patients presenting with this condition but also of the growing severity of this disease. Taken together, these facts account for the serious medico-social importance of the problems arising in connection with this pathology.

This article is focused on the modern possibilities for the application of halotherapy with a view to prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of the children with special reference to the main bio-physical properties of the principal active factors of halotherapy including dry finely-dispersed sodium chloride aerosols and specific features of the mechanism of their therapeutic action. The extensive studies have been underway in the recent years for the purpose of development of the new effective methods for the reconstitution of the aerodispersive environment. Halotherapy can be provided either on an individual (haloinhalation) or a group (exposition in the halochambers and halorooms basis.

[The role of non-medicamental technologies in the rehabilitation of the children presenting with acute rhinosinusitis].

Despite the recent achievements in diagnostics and pharmacotherapy of acute rhinosinusitis in the children, the problem of management of this pathology, thus far remains a serious challenge for practical medicine. The objective of the present study was to develop a scientifically sound rationale for the application of halotherapy (HT) and magnetic therapy (MT) or their combination for the treatment of acute rhinosinusitis in the children. The clinical observations and special investigations were carried out in the comparative aspect and encompassed 120 children at the age varying from 5 to 15 years suffering from acute rhinosinusitis.

[The application of the pulsed low-frequency electrostatic field for the combined treatment of the children presenting with bronchial asthma].

The objective of the present study was to develop a scientifically sound rationale for the application of the pulsed low-frequency electrostatic fields (PLIESF) for the combined treatment of the children presenting with bronchial asthma and the comparative assessment of the effectiveness of the use of this method either as monotherapy or together with therapeutic physical exercises based on the immediate and long-term results of the treatment. The dynamic clinical observations and special investigations were carried out on 101 children at the age varying from 5 to 15 years who suffered from bronchial asthma. PLIESF were shown to produce the beneficial effect on dynamics of clinical symptoms in the children manifested as the disappearance or reduced frequency of episodes of laborious respiration and the improvement of sputum discharge, auscultation picture, bronchial patency, and respiratory excursions of the chest.
