Innovative modified T-shape oncoplastic technique for early-stage breast cancer: multicenter retrospective study.

A technical video was produced to demonstrate in step-by-step fashion a multiple contained myomectomy of a 20 × 30 cm giant myoma and seven additional fibroids found in the same patient, which required two different types of specimen retrieval bags for the electronic power morcellation. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play key roles in a variety of pathological processes by interacting with their specific target mRNAs for translation repression and may function as oncogenes (oncomiRs) or tumor suppressors (TSmiRs). Therefore, a web server that could predict the regulation relations between miRNAs and small molecules is expected to achieve implications for identifying potential therapeutic targets for anti-tumor drug development. Background: Here, we describe an innovative oncoplastic technique for small to medium volume breasts with a tumor in the lower quadrant and this technique could provide sufficient tissue to avoid visible defects after tumor removal and help reshape the natural shape of the breast.

Methods: A detailed procedure for the folding flap technique is described step by step. Then, the results of a retrospective analysis of patients treated using this technique, including complications and disease recurrence rate, between January 2017 and November 2021 are reported.

There are insufficient data regarding outcomes of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in non-Asiatic women. Therefore, we revised the available evidence to present an expert opinion that could support physicians, patients and policy-makers for considering this approach in other populations.

Can uterine artery embolization be an alternative to plastic and reconstructive uterus operation by minimally invasive surgery?

Plastic and reconstructive minimally invasive surgery has been established as gold standard in myomectomy. Therapy failure eventually leads to future surgical interventions or hysterectomy: surgeons and patients should be aware of the risks and benefits. We conducted a systematic review to analyse the evidence on the therapeutic indications and adverse events associated with uterine artery embolization and thereby evaluating if this method could be a valid alternative therapy.
