Reversal of acute tacrolimus-induced renal vasoconstriction by theophylline in rats.

Objective: To determine whether theophylline, a nonselective adenosine receptor antagonist and phosphodiesterase inhibitor, reverses the acute declines in renal blood flow and glomerular filtration rate induced by high-dose tacrolimus in rats.
