Coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD) is a clinical syndrome of myocardial ischemia caused by structural and/or functional abnormalities of pre-coronary arterioles and arterioles. While genetics and other factors play a role in CMD etiology, the key pathogenic mechanism remains unclear. Although the pathogenesis and mechanism of congenital skeletal dysplasia are better understood, progress in drug development and intervention research remains limited. Here we report that melatonin treatment elicits a mitigating effect on skeletal abnormalities caused by deficiency. In addition to our previous finding of endoplasmic reticulum stress upon deficiency, we found calcium (Ca) overload jointly contributed to -associated chondrodysplasias.

Brown adipose tissue (BAT) plays an important role in maintaining body temperature in newborn mammals; however, its mechanisms remain poorly understood. Here, we report the identification of a special population of brown adipose tissue-derived stromal cells (ASCs) in neonatal mice that highly express CD45 and can be differentiated into adipocytes with lower thermogenic ability. Lactic acid (LA) is an essential glycolytic metabolite and energy source in the body, which is present in high levels in the synovial fluid of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and is a reliable indicator for identifying inflammatory arthritis. LA not only acts as an inflammatory amplifier in RA, recent studies have found that novel posttranslational modification (PTM) lactylation mediated by LA may also play a key role in RA. Single-cell sequencing showed that the RA lactylation score of patients with RA was significantly increased, and core lactylation-promoting genes, including NDUFB3, NGLY1, and other genes, were found to be potential biomarkers of RA.
