Background: Abnormalities in thyroid function affect bowel health. However, the relationships between thyroid hormone concentrations and the risk of developing chronic diarrhea and constipation remain unclear. Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate the relationships between thyroid hormone concentrations and the risk of developing chronic diarrhea and constipation in euthyroid US adults.
